To meet our current corporate needs, we would like to bring to our team a

2nd Level Application Support Engineer

Based in Paiania, Attica


Our team is looking for a 2nd Level Application Support Engineer who will join us & provide 2nd Level Support to our Customers on production systems.

As our new colleague, in this role you will be responsible for the UAT (User Acceptance Test) environment preparation, either onsite or remotely.

You will also assure the maximum level of support on incident resolution, provide feedback on escalations and comply with the Service Level Agreements (SLAs).

Last, but not least, you will design, document and create the tools that will assist in troubleshooting.

More specifically, you will undertake tasks, such as:

  • Track the status of open production issues at 2nd level and ensure their timely resolution
  • Timely create a “Problem” when an incident’s root cause is not identified
  • Perform advanced troubleshooting for production incidents/problems
  • Have the ownership, monitoring & tracking of problems. In case of recurrent issues, you will engage in process improvement activities
  • Reproduce incidents and verify their fix, by performing regression tests
  • Participate in the root cause analysis of problems, i.e. break down any outages or quality issues to root causes and prevent recurrences


    Please note that our job opening involves shifts, as our clients are located & operate throughout the world. This entails working according to a scheduled rotation program or possibly travelling abroad.

    Requirements

    To be a successful candidate, your professional profile should match the following criteria:

    • University or College Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or relevant technology-related field
    • Proven working experience of 1 – 2 years in Application Support, System Administration, SW-QA or DEVOPS
    • Adequate system administration knowledge of Linux Platforms (Windows also desired)
    • Good experience in MySQL, knowledge of Oracle or Mongo DB
    • Familiarity with application Monitoring tools such as Nagios, Grafana and NewRelic
    • Experience in automation testing and scripting languages will be considered an asset
    • Strong command of the Greek & English languages, both written and spoken
    • Completed military obligations for male candidates
