Danaos Management Consultants is a European based company, which develops high quality specialized software for the maritime industry.
For 40 years, our teams are responsible to design, implement and deliver state-of-the-art applications to all business units of the maritime field. We are also responsible for ensuring that our clients have the appropriate infrastructure to support our applications and for installing and supporting the databases that are used by our modules. We have also added Cloud hosting to our list of services recently.
We are looking for a Systems/Infrastructure Support Engineer who is enthusiastic about their work and eager to innovate and apply their skills in our Company.
As a Systems/Infrastructure Support Engineer, you will:
- Be a member of a team which performs database management, Oracle Database upgrades/installations and Danaos application installations
- Analyse, diagnose and solve customers; systemic performance issues
- Communicate with programming and application support departments to troubleshoot customer errors
The ideal candidate should have:
- Degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering
- At least 5 years of Oracle RDBMS experience
- Very good knowledge of OS LINUX
- Good knowledge on Windows Server management
- Basic Network knowledge
- Excellent communication & teamwork skills
- Analytical thinking and problem solving
- Fluency in English language
It would also be nice to have:
- Familiarity with Microsoft SQL Server, Azure Cloud
- Experience in main Virtualization environments (mainly VMWARE)
- Experience in a similar role
