The Role
The Technical Delivery Manager role sits at the heart of Validata Softwareâs delivery function and offers the opportunity to manage mission-critical transformation programmes that enable clients to modernise and improve their core financial systems. You will be responsible for end-to-end delivery ownership, ensuring successful execution of complex engagements in a regulated, high-stakes banking environment.
Responsibilities
- Own the full project lifecycle â from initiation to closure â of multiple complex projects, including scope, timeliness, quality, risks and (where applicable) budget
- Lead and coordinate cross-functional teams (consultants, engineers, QA and product specialists), ensuring clear accountability, alignment and high performance, prioritizing tasks, resolving issues, and keeping everyone focused on business outcomes
- Oversee data migration, testing, and reconciliation delivery streams, ensuring accuracy, quality, and operational integrity in banking environments
- Manage stakeholders with confidence, building strong client relationships, setting clear expectations, and ensuring alignment at every stage
- Champion operational excellence, streamlining processes and improving delivery efficiency to raise the bar on project performance
- Collaborate across functions â working closely with consultants, engineers, and product teams to manage dependencies and deliverables
- Contribute beyond projects, supporting internal initiatives that enhance our delivery capabilities and strengthen our organizational culture
Qualifications
- Master's/PhD degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or a related field
- Proven (7+ years) track record delivering complex IT or digital transformation projects, ideally in banking, fintech, professional services, or consulting environments
- Hands-on experience in projects involving data migration, system testing and reconciliation for banks, financial institutions or large corporates
- Experience managing multiple concurrent projects or workstreams in a structured delivery environment
- Familiarity with delivery methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid) and strong skills in risk/issue management, resource planning, milestone tracking, and reporting
- Practical cloud native experience and advanced knowledge of cloud, AI, machine learning etc
- Demonstrated ability in stakeholder management at senior levels, including client-facing engagement across multiple geographies
- Highly organized, proactive, and passionate about continuous improvement, process optimization, and driving successful outcomes
- AI & Modern Delivery Capability - familiarity with, or strong willingness to adopt, AI-powered project management and automation tools to enhance delivery efficiency, including AI-assisted reporting, automated status tracking, predictive risk identification, and smart scheduling
- Experience or interest in using AI and automation to improve project reporting, documentation, forecasting, and decision-making is a strong advantage, along with an open mindset toward data-driven delivery practices and evolving modern tooling
- Project Management Professional (PMP) or other relevant certifications will be considered an asset
