The position has been established to support all activities of the Key Account Management and Business Development functions, with a focus on the full client engagement cycle from the first contact up to the tender phase. The Key Account Specialist will contribute to commercial development by coordinating internal inputs, managing client‑facing processes, and supporting the preparation of proposals and tender documentation. As experience grows, the role is designed to progressively evolve towards direct interaction with clients and increased ownership of commercial relationships.
Responsibilities
- Support the Key Account Management team across all stages of the commercial cycle, from initial client engagement to the preparation and submission of tenders.
- Manage all activities related to pre‑qualification processes, Requests for Information (RFIs), and client procurement platforms, ensuring timely, accurate, and compliant submissions.
- Contribute to the preparation of commercial proposals by coordinating inputs from technical, operational, and financial teams, and by supporting the drafting, structuring, and organization of bid documentation.
- Assist in identifying and assessing new business opportunities by conducting structured market research, gathering intelligence on clients and competitors, and monitoring sector developments.
- Ensure that client needs and requirements are properly captured and communicated to internal stakeholders involved in proposal preparation.
- Support in organizing meetings, presentations, workshops, and customer visits, ensuring proper preparation of materials and follow‑up actions.
- Participate, when required, in selected exhibitions, fairs, conferences, and industry events to support the company’s visibility and networking activities.
- Act as a “bid sponsor” throughout the tender lifecycle, providing background research, documentation, and coordination to the commercial team.
- Collaborate with the marketing function to enhance brand recognition and ensure consistent communication across all client‑facing activities.
- Monitor technological, commercial, and regulatory developments in the sector, sharing relevant updates with internal stakeholders and contributing to the company’s market awareness.
Requirements
- Bachelor/M. Engineering
- Postgraduate degree or qualification in related disciplines will be a plus;
- Strong written and oral communication skills in English;
- Very good knowledge of PC skills and MS office (Excel, PowerPoint);
- Ability to travel up to 60% of working time;
- Strong proactivity and a genuine willingness to learn, with a clear interest in working within complex, fast‑evolving markets and developing long‑term commercial competencies.
- Strong interpersonal skills, networking abilities and a customer-centric approach are important;
