The role
We are seeking a dynamic and proactive intern to join our commercial team at Ferryhopper, based in Athens. This role primarily involves supporting the Distribution team, which manages relationships with various online platforms and travel agencies. The intern will be immersed in a fast-paced environment, contributing to the company's growth and learning about the intricacies of the ferry transportation and online travel industry. This position is a fixed term contract for five (5) months.
Responsibilities
- Competition Analysis: Research existing ferry product content on various Online Travel Agencies (OTAs) to identify business opportunities
- Product Curation: Curate and systematize Ferryhopper's products with a sharp eye to detail, to maximize appeal and conversion for travelers, focusing on business potential within the OTA landscape
- Data Entry: Create and update product listings on various online travel agencies, ensuring accuracy in both textual content and visual elements to enhance the overall appeal for travelers
- Research Projects: Conduct thorough and targeted research to support strategic decisions, identify new opportunities, and understand market trends
- Reporting: Compile and analyze data to create insightful reports. Present findings to the team to aid in decision-making processes
- Ad-Hoc Tasks: Engage in various tasks as needed, adapting to the dynamic nature of the organization where each day presents unique challenges and opportunities.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a relevant field (e.g., Business, Marketing, Tourism, Maritime, Communication).
- Outward-looking with a keen interest in commercial operations and the travel industry.
- Demonstrates attention to detail, diligence, and a strong willingness to learn.
- Ability to thrive in a quick-moving organization and adapt to varying daily tasks.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Proficiency in English is mandatory; additional language skills in Italian, Spanish, or Croatian are highly advantageous.

Remote policy: For teams located in Athens, the policy is to visit the office a minimum of once per week.
