The Opportunity
Abbott Diagnostics is looking for a motivated and customer-oriented Technical Service Specialist / Biomedical Engineer to join the Core Diagnostics Service Team in Greece.
This field-based role focuses on providing technical support, maintenance, installation, and troubleshooting for advanced diagnostic laboratory systems, including immunochemistry, biochemistry, hematology analyzers, and laboratory IT systems.
The position is ideal for engineers passionate about medical technology, diagnostics, healthcare innovation, and customer service excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical support and service to Abbott Diagnostics customers
- Perform preventive maintenance and troubleshooting of laboratory diagnostic instruments
- Install and deinstall diagnostic systems and laboratory equipment
- Deliver customer training and technical guidance
- Support laboratory-oriented IT systems and automation track systems
- Ensure high customer satisfaction and service quality standards
- Act as Abbott ambassador with professionalism and integrity
- Collaborate with internal teams to optimize service performance
Candidate Profile
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in:
- Biomedical Engineering
- Electronics Engineering
- Medical Technology Engineering
- 1-2 years of experience in Healthcare, Medical Devices, Diagnostics or IVD industry will be considered an asset
- Excellent command of English (written & spoken)
- Strong MS Office and computer skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Problem-solving mindset and customer-centric approach
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Willingness to travel frequently
