Papastratos, an affiliate of Philip Morris International (PMI), has associated its name with the continuous evolution of the industry, the economic development of the country and its contribution to society for 9 decades. A few years ago, we chose to change everything, forever: our operation, our philosophy, our own product. In 2017, we turned a page in our history by transforming our Aspropyrgos’ factory into an exclusive heated tobacco sticks production unit for IQOS, the first in a series of innovative PMI products.

This investment, which has now exceeded €700 million, marked the beginning of Papastratos' radical transformation from a historic tobacco company to a technology one, driven by science, powered by technology, and envisioning a world without cigarettes. In the past 5 years , more that 1000 new job positions have been created to support this radical transformation.
