Mandarin Oriental, Costa Navarino is looking for a Pool Cleaner/Handyman (Καθαριστής Πισίνας/Τεχνίτης) to join our Engineering team, for season 2025.

About the job

Based at Mandarin Oriental, Costa Navarino within the Engineering Department in Pylos, Messenia, Greece, the Pool Cleaner/Handyman (Καθαριστής Πισίνας/Τεχνίτης) cleans the swimming pools and conducts minor repairs on pool areas when required in a timely manner. The Pool Cleaner/Handyman (Καθαριστής Πισίνας/Τεχνίτης) reports to the Duty Engineering Supervisor.

As Pool Cleaner/Handyman (Καθαριστής Πισίνας/Τεχνίτης), you will be responsible for the following duties: 

• Remove debris from the pool using nets and other tools.
• Maintain chemical levels by adding chemicals as needed.
• Vacuum the bottom of the pool using a specialized vacuum.
• Test the water temperature, chemical balance, and clarity of the pool water.
• Clean the pool by brushing algae off the walls and vacuuming algae off the floor.
• Clean the pool deck by sweeping leaves and other debris off the deck.
• Clean the pool equipment such as filters and motors to ensure they are working properly.
• Chlorinate the water according to standards set by health agencies.
• Clean chemical containers and equipment such as pumps, filters, and heaters.

As Pool Cleaner/Handyman (Καθαριστής Πισίνας/Τεχνίτης), we expect from you:

• EU passport or valid Residence Permit is mandatory in order to work in Greece.
• Fluency in English or Greek. 
• A minimum of 1 year of relevant experience will be considered.
