Sales & Reservations Agent
Department : Sales & Reservations
Reporting to : Sales & Reservations Manager
Job Summary: As a Sales & Reservations Agent, you will be responsible for driving sales and managing reservations to maximize revenue and occupancy for the hotel. Your primary focus will be on generating new business, maintaining relationships with existing clients, and ensuring seamless reservations and guest experiences. You will work closely with the sales team, front office staff, and other departments to achieve revenue targets and provide exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities :
Sales and Business Development
• Identify potential clients and develop strategies to attract new business.
• Conduct market research to stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences.
• Actively promote the hotel’s facilities, services, and packages to prospective clients.
• Build and maintain relationships with corporate clients, travel agents, and event planners to generate business opportunities.
• Collaborate with the marketing team to create promotional materials and participate in sales and marketing events.
Reservations Management :
• Handle all aspects of the hotel’s reservations process, including inquiries, bookings, modifications, and cancellations.
• Ensure accuracy of reservation details, rates, and availability in the hotel’s property management system.
• Coordinate with the front office team to ensure smooth check-in and check-out processes.
• Handle guest complaints or issues related to reservations and provide appropriate solutions to ensure guest satisfaction.
• Maintain knowledge of room types, rates, packages, and special promotions to effectively recommend suitable options to guests.
Revenue Management :
• Monitor and analyze room inventory, rates, and occupancy levels to optimize revenue and occupancy.
• Implement pricing strategies and discount offers to drive sales during low-demand periods.
• Conduct regular competitor analysis to stay informed about market positioning and adjust sales strategies accordingly.
• Prepare and present sales reports, revenue forecasts, and performance analysis to management.
Customer Service :
• Provide excellent customer service by promptly addressing guest inquiries, concerns, and requests.
• Ensure a high level of guest satisfaction throughout the reservation and stay experience.
• Handle guest feedback and reviews, taking necessary actions to resolve issues and improve service quality.
• Maintain a strong knowledge of hotel services, amenities, local attractions, and events to assist guests effectively.
Qualifications and Skills :
• Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred).
• Proven experience in hotel sales, reservations, or a similar role.
• Strong sales and negotiation skills with a customer-focused approach.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in using reservation and property management systems.
• Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make informed decisions.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
