Assistant Director of Sales

About us

ORA Hospitality is launching its flagship resort in Mykonos, Greece, scheduled for May 2027, and is currently building the team who will bring this project to life. The resort will mark the debut of a new ultra-luxury hospitality brand, currently under development. Located in the bay of Kalo Livadi, the property will feature 88 rooms and suites, alongside 5 private villas, specialty restaurants, wellness center, among other facilities.

ORA Hospitality is the luxury arm of ORA Developers, building a global portfolio of exceptional hotels and resorts designed to inspire how guests feel long after they leave. The collection includes the award-winning Silversands Grenada and Silversands Beach House in the Caribbean, with a growing pipeline of new destinations under development worldwide. Joining ORA Hospitality means being part of an opening team and helping shape a brand from the ground up.

We are seeking an ambitious and commercially driven Assistant Director of Sales to join the pre-opening team of our ultra-luxury resort. This is a unique opportunity to help shape the hotel's market presence from the ground up, working alongside a high-performing commercial team in one of Europe's most exciting new luxury destinations. Reporting to the Commercial Director, the Assistant Director of Sales will take direct ownership of key market segments, support and mentor the Sales Manager(s), and drive day-to-day sales activity with a strong focus on new business, account management, and revenue conversion.

What you will do 

  • Support the pre-opening commercial phase including market research, rate plan development, and promotional strategy.
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities; conduct client meetings and presentations across all assigned markets and segments.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with luxury travel advisors, agencies, consortia, and event planners.
  • Support on building the sales plan and execute tactical actions in alignment with the strategy.
  • Conduct competitive set reviews and monitor market trends.
  • Lead sales activities including calls, site inspections, FAM trips, and trade show participation.
  • Collaborate with Revenue, Reservations, Marketing & F&B Management on group pace, forecasting, and account performance, in achieving the hotel total revenue.
  • Liaise with global sales representatives to ensure strong international market coverage.
  • Monitor top account production and ensure segment targets are consistently met.

What you need to bring 

  • Minimum 4 years of  experience in luxury hotel sales, with a focus on leisure and events — resort experience strongly preferred.
  •  Demonstrated experience in key source markets including the US, EU, and GCC.
  • Experience in hotel pre-opening or opening phases is a significant advantage.
  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Hotel Management, Tourism, or Economic Studies.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and hotel technology platforms including PMS and extranets.
  • Willingness and ability to travel within Greece and internationally.
