Job Summary

The Floor Supervisor is responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the front-of-house area while delivering exceptional customer service. This role focuses on supervising daily floor activities, coordinating staff, and maintaining high service standards to create a positive guest experience.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Coach and support the waiters, including runners and supporting staff.
• Assign duties and responsibilities to ensure smooth and efficient service.
• Provide guidance to resolve any issues or challenges during service.
• Ensure excellent customer service by maintaining a professional and welcoming demeanor.
• Interact with guests to ensure satisfaction and address any concerns.
• Assist with special requests and accommodate customer needs.
• Oversee the order-taking process and ensure accurate communication with the kitchen.
• Monitor order fulfillment and address any discrepancies or delays.
• Coordinate with the kitchen and bar staff to ensure timely service.
• Encourage upselling of menu items and promotions.
• Ensure waiters has comprehensive knowledge of the menu, including ingredients, preparation methods, and potential allergens.
• Maintain a clean and organized dining area.
• Collaborate with cleaning staff to ensure tables are promptly cleared and reset.
• Contribute to creating a pleasant dining ambiance.

Skills, Experience & Educational Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Certification in hospitality management
• Previous experience as a waiter or in a similar customer service role
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of food and beverage service procedures.
• Familiarity with point-of-sale (POS) systems.
• Ability to handle challenging situations with tact and professionalism.
