Role

We are seeking a skilled and proactive Assistant Chief Engineer Villas who embodies Aman’s commitment to excellence, safety and refined guest experiences to join Amanzoe, in the Peloponnese, Greece. Reporting to the Director of Engineering, this role is responsible for supporting the maintenance and technical operations of the villa facilities, ensuring that all infrastructure is safe, functional and maintained to the highest standards. This hands-on position requires strong technical expertise, organisational skills and a solution-oriented mindset to support both guests and colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Support the Director of Engineering in overseeing maintenance operations across all villas and related facilities.

• Ensure the functionality, safety and optimal condition of all villa infrastructure and technical systems.

• Organise and supervise repair, installation and renovation projects as required.

• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations across all areas of responsibility.

• Conduct regular inspections to identify potential safety risks and address issues proactively.

• Respond promptly and effectively to maintenance requests and technical emergencies.

• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and technical interventions.

• Coordinate with internal teams and external contractors to ensure timely and high-quality execution of works.

• Uphold Aman’s standards of professionalism, discretion and operational excellence.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within a luxury or five-star hotel environment.

• Technical qualification from a vocational school or a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.

• Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations.

• Solid experience with plumbing, electrical, sewage and HVAC systems.

• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and mitigate safety risks efficiently.

• Excellent organizational and time management skills.

• A hands-on, practical approach to maintenance operations.

• Very good command of English.

• You must have the legal right to work in Greece.
