Sommelier – Sirocco Volcanic Restaurant, Milos
Key Responsibilities
• Curate, develop, and maintain an extensive and well-balanced wine list for the restaurant
• Provide personalized wine recommendations and pairings to enhance the dining experience
• Train and inspire service staff on wine knowledge, service standards, and storytelling
• Manage wine ordering, inventory control, and supplier relationships
• Ensure optimal storage conditions and proper handling of all wines
• Stay informed on industry trends through tastings, events, and continuous education
• Deliver exceptional guest service with a refined, professional approach
Requirements & Qualifications
• Minimum 2 years of proven experience as a Sommelier in 5* hotels or high-end restaurants
• WSET Level 3 or equivalent certification
• Excellent knowledge of wine, regions, terroirs, and varietals
• Strong ability to design wine lists and pairings
• Fluency in English
• Degree or Diploma in Hospitality / Tourism will be considered an asset
• Additional languages will be considered a plus
• Computer literacy
