A luxury hotel in Corfu is seeking to hire an Executive Housekeeper.

Responsibilities

  • Recruits, hires, trains, and supervises housekeeping staff.
  • Providing guidance and ensuring that all staff is well-trained in SOPs, and in handling all tools & equipment. 
  • Maintaining good relationships and fostering a positive work environment.
  • Ensuring the highest level of services, seeking and recommending improvements in service quality.
  • Checking Room Occupancy, and planning daily routine and work schedule in an efficient way.
  • Ensuring good hygiene and high level of services to all guests from pre-check in to check-out.
  • Ensures that rooms, common areas, and facilities are clean, well-maintained, and organized.
  • Schedules and assigns tasks to ensure proper coverage and workload distribution.
  • Keeping and monitoring with accuracy "Lost & Found" records.  
  • Ensures that guest amenities are well-stocked, and special requests are fulfilled promptly.
  • Taking appropriate action to resolve guest complaints.
  • Manages inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring that all guest room accessories, linen, towels, amenities and supplies are available and sufficient in stock.
  • Monitors expenses and adheres to the housekeeping budget.
  • Adheres to and ensures that all security & safety measures are met.
  • Making a report to the Maintenance department for equipment failures.
  • Implements sustainable and eco-friendly cleaning practices when possible.

 

Requirements

  • More than 3 year of experience in a similar position in a 5* hotel. 
  • A bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Hotel Management, or a related field will be an asset. 
  • Ability to lead and manage a team of housekeeping staff.
  • Having the ability to lead and communicate in a fast-paced and multi-cultural work environment.
  • Experience with budgetary processes; cost control/revenue maximization is an added advantage.
  • Knowledge and commitment to implementing sustainable and eco-friendly cleaning practices. 
  • Ability to resolve housekeeping-related issues efficiently and effectively.
  • Familiarity with cleaning equipment, products, and housekeeping management systems.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office (Word and Excel mandatory).
