- A minimum educational requirement, although additional education or training in hospitality can be beneficial.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to provide exceptional service and address guest needs effectively.
- Meticulousness in order-taking, ensuring accuracy in deliveries, and setting up in-room dining presentations.
- Ability to manage orders, payments, and service setups efficiently, maintaining order in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in basic mathematics for order calculations, bill preparation, and payment processing.
- Physical fitness to carry trays, walk, and stand for extended periods while delivering orders to guest rooms.
- A polished appearance and professional behavior when interacting with guests.
- Ability to collaborate with kitchen staff, colleagues, and management to ensure smooth service operations.
- Receive and accurately record guest orders for food and beverages, ensuring all special requests are noted.
- Promptly and courteously deliver orders to guest rooms, maintaining the presentation and quality of items.
- Accurately prepare and present guest bills, handle payments, and address any billing inquiries.
- Arrange in-room dining tables, ensure proper table settings, and create a pleasant dining atmosphere.
- Provide exceptional customer service, addressing guest needs, inquiries, and special requests.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the service area, ensuring all equipment and supplies are well-maintained and stocked.
