Role Overview

The Barista / Bartender prepares and serves high-quality beverages while delivering friendly, personalized service. It maintains a clean, organized bar and café, handles POS transactions, supports smooth service with the hotel team, and promotes signature offerings—all while ensuring full compliance with health and safety standards.

Key Accountabilities:

• Prepare and serve a variety of high-quality coffee, espresso drinks, cocktails, and other beverages, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and exceptional quality in every order.
• Greeting guests warmly with a genuine smile, actively engage with them to understand their preferences, and offer personalized drink recommendations.
• Describe beverage options and menu items in an engaging and knowledgeable manner.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the coffee and bar areas, including equipment, glassware, tools, and supplies.
• Handle cash transactions and process payments accurately using the hotel’s point-of-sale (POS) system.
• Restock and replenish bar and café inventory, ensuring all supplies are available and properly stored.
• Collaborate closely with hotel staff to ensure smooth service flow and timely beverage delivery during peak periods.
• Ensure full compliance with health, safety, and hygiene standards, maintaining a safe, clean, and professional environment.
• Assist in the setup and breakdown of bar and café areas at the beginning and end of shifts.
• Promote the hotel’s beverage offerings, including seasonal specials, signature drinks, and new menu items to elevate the guest experience.
• Respond promptly to guest requests and prepare customized or special-order beverages, ensuring complete guest satisfaction.

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Barista or Bartender in a 5-star hotel.
• Strong beverage knowledge, including coffee and cocktails; relevant certifications are an advantage.
• Degree in Hospitality or Tourism is considered an asset.
• Excellent command of English; additional languages are considered an asset.
• Experience with MICROS or other POS systems is preferred.
