Role Overview
The Laundry Attendant is responsible for cleaning, pressing, folding, and organizing all laundry items for the hotel. This role requires maintaining cleanliness and proper care of linens, towels, and guest clothing, ensuring that laundry operations run smoothly and efficiently to meet guest and operational needs.
Key Accountabilities:
- Sorting, washing, drying, and folding linens, towels, and guest laundry
- Operating laundry machines safely and efficiently, following the correct procedures.
- Maintaining cleanliness and organization of the laundry room, ensuring that all equipment is properly maintained.
- Inspecting laundry items for stains or damages and taking the necessary steps to address any issues.
- Ensuring that laundry items are stocked and readily available for guest use, including bedding and towels for rooms.
- Ensuring that laundry is processed within the required time frame, meeting guest needs and operational timelines.
- Reporting any malfunctioning equipment or other issues to management for resolution.
- Maintaining inventory levels of laundry supplies and notifying management when supplies need to be reordered.
- Assisting with other housekeeping duties as needed to ensure smooth operation.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role within 5-star hotels
- High School Diploma
- Knowledge of English language
