About the role:

The Waiter delivers exceptional, personalized service to guests in alignment with Empiria's Group Standards in the Restaurant / Bar / Lounge areas. This role ensures a warm and professional dining experience by providing attentive service, detailed product knowledge, and seamless collaboration with the F&B team. The Waiter embodies the hotel’s service philosophy, anticipating guest needs and contributing to a refined and memorable dining atmosphere.

Key Accountabilities:

• Describe and present food and beverage menu items to guests in an engaging and knowledgeable manner.
• Greet guests warmly, seat them promptly, and ensure exceptional service throughout their dining experience.
• Oversee table setup, maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area, and ensure high service standards are consistently met.
• Manage guest orders, coordinate with kitchen and bar teams to ensure timely and accurate delivery of all food and beverages.
• Take and serve food and beverage orders promptly and accurately.
• Handle guest inquiries, special requests, and complaints with efficiency and professionalism, ensuring swift resolution and guest satisfaction.
• Monitor and manage inventory of dining supplies and beverages, maintain stock levels, and contribute to minimizing waste.
• Promote and upsell food, beverages, and specialty drinks to enhance guest experience and increase revenue.
• Ensure implementation of all health, safety, and hygiene procedures, maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment.
• Assist with service across various hotel outlets, events, and in-room dining operations as required.

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role within 5-star hotels or high-volume dining venues.
• Degree or Diploma in Tourism or a related field.
• Knowledge of wines; experience in wine tasting is an advantage.
• Experience using MICROS or other POS systems is an advantage.
• Excellent command of the English language; additional languages are considered an asset.
