In a nutshell:

As one of the first points of contact with the guests entering our Restaurant, a hostess sets the stage for our guests’ dining experience at Daios Cove. Being able to manage a lively waiting area, you need a friendly demeanour, organisational skills, and empathy to keep everyone happy.

In your department:

• Welcome guests in a warm and friendly manner.
• Ensure that guests are seated and provided with menus promptly.
• Monitor restaurant activity to coordinate seating and dining flow.
• Assists others with side work including but not limited to cleaning, stocking, folding silverware, etc.
• Ensure that all guests’ requests and queries are responded to promptly and effectively and an exceptional service is always delivered to guests.
• Ensure the restaurant areas are clean and always presented well and coordinate cleaning and housekeeping duties as required.
• Deal with guest complaints in a friendly and efficient manner, always ensuring guest satisfaction and ensure that any guest complaints and comments are reported to management.
• Assist in the set up and preparation and might need to assist with F&B service duties when needed.
• Any other duties as directed by the Restaurant & Bar Manager or other member of the management team.

Skills and Qualifications that will help you go beyond your role:

• Experience of working in a similar role and/or environment (preferably in a luxury hotel restaurant)
• Good knowledge of English
• High standard of personal presentation
• Very good communication and interpersonal skills with a confident and outgoing personality and an ability to interact with people at all levels
• Courteous and pleasant attitude towards guests and colleagues
