The Role
We are seeking an experienced Contracts Manager to join our professional team at our Heraklion office and play a key role in expanding and managing our accommodation portfolio nationwide. This office-based position requires working from our company headquarters in Heraklion, Crete, with regular travel throughout Greece for property visits and partner meetings. This is a strategic role for an established hospitality professional ready to take the next step in their career, contributing directly to our company's growth and market positioning.
Key Responsibilities
Contract Negotiation & Portfolio Development
- Negotiate favorable terms with hotel partners across Greece, ensuring mutually beneficial and competitive agreements
- Identify, evaluate, and onboard new accommodation partners, expanding our nationwide portfolio
- Manage the complete contracting lifecycle from prospecting through contract renewal
Partner Relationship Management
- Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with hoteliers and accommodation providers
- Serve as the primary point of contact for contracted partners, providing continuous support and strategic consultation
- Address partner concerns professionally, offering tailored solutions that strengthen collaboration
Systems & Operations Management
- Load and maintain contracts in extranets and internal systems with accuracy and efficiency
- Ensure data integrity across all booking platforms and partner interfaces
- Collaborate with IT and operations teams to optimize contracting processes
Market Intelligence & Reporting
- Monitor industry trends, competitor activity, and regional market conditions to identify opportunities
- Prepare comprehensive monthly and annual contracting reports with performance analysis and actionable insights
- Contribute to strategic planning with data-driven recommendations
Travel & Site Inspections
- Conduct property visits and site inspections across Greek destinations as required
- Evaluate accommodation quality and service standards to maintain portfolio excellence
- Represent Big Travel professionally in partner meetings and industry events
Required Qualifications
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Tourism, Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or related field
- Minimum 2 years of proven experience in a contracting, sales, or partnership role within a travel agency, tour operator, or DMC
- Demonstrated track record in hotel contract negotiation and partner relationship management
- Hands-on experience with extranet systems, contract loading, and multi-platform management
Technical Competencies
- Expert-level proficiency in extranet platforms and booking systems
- Strong command of Microsoft Office Suite and ERP systems
- Familiarity with NS programs or similar DMC/Tour Operator software is highly advantageous
- Comfortable with technology and digital tools for contract management
Core Skills & Attributes
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English (C1/C2 level required)
- Additional foreign language(s) considered a strong asset
- In-depth knowledge of multiple Greek destinations and accommodation market (not limited to a single region)
- Outstanding organizational skills with methodical attention to detail
- Strong negotiation abilities and solution-oriented mindset
- Proven ability to work collaboratively within cross-functional teams
- Self-motivated with excellent task follow-up and accountability
- Outgoing personality with strong interpersonal and networking capabilities
- Flexibility to travel throughout Greece as business needs require
