Job Summary

The Reservations Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing the reservation system, guest flow, and host team operations. The role ensures an exceptional guest experience from the moment of booking to arrival and seating, while maintaining high standards of guest service, organization, and communication. This position will lead, train, and supervise the host team, ensuring smooth coordination of reservations, efficient table allocation, and consistent delivery of the Em Sherif hospitality experience.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee the reservations system, ensuring accurate bookings, guest preferences, and smooth guest flow.
  • Maximize seating capacity through effective table allocation and coordination with FOH and BOH teams.
  • Confirm, adjust, and follow up on reservations, cancellations, and special requests.
  • Lead, train, and supervise the host team to deliver a warm, professional welcome and personalized guest service.
  • Conduct daily briefings with the host team to review reservations, VIPs, and service priorities.
  • Greet and welcome all guests, ensuring timely seating and a memorable arrival experience.
  • Anticipate and respond to guest needs and special requests promptly and courteously.
  • Handle guest concerns related to reservations or seating, escalating when necessary.
  • Act as the first point of contact for VIPs and assist in building guest loyalty.
  • Maintain updated guest profiles and share information with management for service improvement.
  • Prepare host team schedules and ensure adequate coverage at all times.
  • Keep management promptly informed of any reservation, service, or operational issues.
  • Respect and enforce Em Sherif’s grooming, safety, and hygiene standards.

Skills, Experience & Educational Requirements

  • Strong leadership, team management, and communication skills with a high level of customer service and guest-relations expertise.
  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proactive problem-solving mindset, with proficiency in Microsoft Office and reservations management systems (e.g., SevenRooms).
  • Neat, clean, and professional appearance.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a reservations management or head host role, preferably in fine dining or luxury hospitality, with supervisory experience leading host/guest service teams.
  • Experience in Lebanese/Oriental restaurants is an asset.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Management, or equivalent experience.
  • Excellent command of English and Greek (oral and written); knowledge of Arabic or French is a strong plus.
