APHI Aura, Rhodes, Autograph Collection seeks a motivated and spirited professional as an Executive Housekeeper Manager to shape spaces of care and comfort.
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Housekeeping Manager will ensure that the highest level of cleanliness and maintenance is achieved while supporting the company's philosophy of Greek hospitality.
Key job responsibilities:
Management of the Housekeeping Operations following the budget and the company’s procedures and directions, including the following:
- Department’s budget preparation and follow-up
- Daily control of clients’ comfort, cleanliness, decoration and hygiene in all areas of the hotel.
- Preparation of weekly and monthly programmes.
- Housekeeping staff hiring, control, training, productivity and development following the brand’s standards
- Housekeeping staff appearance, behaviour and discipline.
- Customer care.
- Follow up on the financial and quality results of the department.
- Monitor the housekeeping, laundry and cleaning costs.
- Close cooperation with other departments, especially with Front Office regarding room’s status and availability and MNT regarding room’s functionality and good working condition.
- Monitor OS&E stocks & optimum use
- Any other matter related to the maximization of Financial & Quality results of the Housekeeping Department.
- Ensure the smooth running of IMS and H&S procedures.
Requirements:
- Graduate of a College or a Hotel School
- Fluent in English, any other language is an advantage
- Be trained and have relevant knowledge for implementation of the following management systems: ISO 9001;14001; 22000& OSHAS
- Excellent knowledge of cleaning products
- Fluent in English
- Knowledge and implementation of employees' H&S procedures
- 5 years’ experience in the Hotel Industry in a luxury property in a similar position. A Marriott experience will be considered an advantage.
- Be able to communicate.
- Good organisational skills and be initiative.
- Be able and willing to work long hours and under pressure.
- Be able to control staff and make them work as a team.
- Be able to incite and lead the staff.
