As a Doorman at Conrad Athens The Ilisian, you will be the welcoming face of our hotel, playing a pivotal role in our guests’ first impressions and overall experience. Your primary responsibility will be to provide exceptional service as you greet guests, assist with luggage, and facilitate the smooth entry and exit of guests and their vehicles. Your friendly demeanor and professionalism will set the tone for a luxurious stay. Your role will also include ensuring the safety and security of guests and the hotel premises. You will be key in coordinating with other departments to ensure guest requests are met promptly and efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome guests upon arrival with a warm, courteous, and professional demeanor.
• Assist guests with their luggage, ensuring careful handling and respect for privacy.
• Open vehicle doors and assist guests in and out of vehicles, maintaining a polished and attentive presence.
• Provide accurate information regarding hotel amenities, local attractions, and dining options to enhance the guest experience.
• Coordinate closely with Front Desk and Bell staff to ensure seamless guest arrivals and departures.
• Manage traffic flow at the hotel entrance and oversee efficient valet parking operations.
• Assist guests with local transportation arrangements promptly and courteously.
• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the entrance area and lobby to create an inviting atmosphere.
• Address guest requests and concerns proactively, engaging appropriate team members as needed.
• Uphold a professional appearance in accordance with grooming standards at all times.
• Report any maintenance or safety concerns promptly to ensure guest comfort and security.
• Monitor the entrance area to maintain security and restrict access to authorized personnel only.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a guest-facing role, preferably in luxury hotels or high-end environments.
• Exceptional hospitality skills with a strong desire to provide outstanding service to guests.
• Strong communication skills in both English and Greek; knowledge of additional languages is a plus.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks while maintaining attention to detail and focus on guest satisfaction.
• Strong physical stamina and ability to lift heavy luggage as required.
• Demonstrated ability to remain calm and composed in high-pressure situations.
• Professional demeanor coupled with excellent grooming and personal presentation.
