Role Overview
As a Sales Manager, you will serve as a strategic leader within the Sales team, playing a critical role in shaping the commercial success of our luxury hospitality portfolio. You will drive high-level business development initiatives, lead key client relationships, and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to develop innovative strategies that maximize revenue across all market segments. With a focus on sustainable growth and premium positioning, you will be a brand ambassador and thought leader, consistently elevating our market presence and customer experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the strategic direction and execution of the sales function, aligning with company goals and market trends.
- Identify, target, and secure high-value business opportunities across all segments (Leisure, MICE, Wholesale).
- Build and maintain long-term partnerships with key accounts, global sales offices, and industry influencers.
- Monitor and analyze competitive market data, economic indicators, and performance trends to forecast demand and adjust strategy accordingly.
- Collaborate with senior leadership and Marketing to co-develop and implement integrated commercial plans, brand activations, and promotional campaigns.
- Represent the company at international trade shows, roadshows, and networking events, positioning the brand with professionalism and authority.
- Mentor, guide, and support junior sales team members to achieve departmental and individual targets.
- Manage the sales budget, optimize resource allocation, and ensure measurable ROI on initiatives.
- Oversee the planning and execution of site inspections, FAM trips, and key client visits to ensure an exceptional on-property experience.
- Proactively manage the sales funnel, using CRM tools and data analytics to track progress and identify gaps.
- Uphold and promote Marriott’s standards and brand values across all interactions and touchpoints.
- Act as a liaison between the Sales department and key hotel leadership, ensuring smooth communication and synergy across operations.
- Champion a culture of excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement within the Sales team.
- Perform other strategic duties and special projects as required to support company objectives.
