Role Overview
The Host / Hostess is responsible for creating a welcoming first impression, managing reservations, and ensuring guests have a smooth and enjoyable experience from arrival to departure at Empiria Lounge.
Key duties and responsibilities
- Greets and seats the guests in a friendly, professional, and courteous manner. Wishes “farewell” to all guests, ensuring guest satisfaction has been reached
- Performs kind and generous service in always treating both guests and colleagues in a respectful manner
- Ensures that tables are appropriately cleared and re-set according to reservation plans
- Maintains cleanliness and presentation of the restaurant entrance and its surroundings
- Makes sure there is enough stock of Newspapers, Magazines, Glasses, Reading lights
- Attends pre-service briefings for daily updates, ensuring active and regular communication within the team and that all tasks are followed up efficiently prior to guest’s arrival
- Ensures service and Back of House areas are always kept clean and work is conducted
- Performs any other reasonable duties as required by Management
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar role in hospitality
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent knowledge of English language. Any additional language will be considered an asset
- Familiarity with reservation systems and customer service tools
- Positive attitude, team spirit, and guest-oriented approach
- Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure
- Passion for delivering exceptional levels of service
