Front Office Manager

Position Summary:
The Front Office Manager primarily will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the front office team. The ideal candidate will assure guest service standards are being applied consistently while remaining in compliance with all hotel and department policies and procedures.
Scope:
- Reports to General Manager
- Uses suggestive selling techniques to sell room nights, increase occupancy and revenue
- Maintains complete knowledge of and comply with all departmental policies, service procedures, and standards
- Supervises daily shift processes ensuring all team members adhere to standard operating procedures
- Trains, directs the work of front office employees, resolves issues/problems and coaches the front desk team members to ensure a quality operation
- Resolves customer issues, complaints, problems in a quick, efficient manner to maintain a high level of customer satisfaction and quality service
- Allocates rooms to exprected arrivals after checking the guests preferences and special requests
- Prepares and adjusts weekly work schedules in accordance with staffing guidelines and labour forecasts
- Conducts department meetings with team to drive associate engagement
- Ensures that standards are maintained at a superior level on a daily basis
Prerequisites:
- Three or more years working experience in a similar role in the luxury hospitality sector (5* Hotels).
- Degree / Diploma in Hospitality/Tourism
- Excellent knowledge of English language
- A second language (French, German, Russian, or Italian) will be considered as a plus
