Role functions
- Support and assist the Food & Beverage Director in the efficient control and managing of the Food & Beverage operation through the provision of leadership, supervision, training and control.
- Coordinate and have an overview of all operational issues regarding the deliverance of service in Food & Beverage amongst the different outlets to ensure good working relations within the department.
- Liaise with Executive Chef and Outlet Managers regarding food preparation, presentation, menu revisions and additions, with the Chief Steward to ensure cleanliness & hygiene standards, with Engineering department to ensure that all pieces of equipment are in proper order in consulting with the Director of Food & Beverage.
- Replace Food & Beverage Director during his absence.
- Attend and contribute to all department and hotel meetings called for.
- Assist the Food & Beverage Operations Director in effective menu planning, sales promotion, cost and labor control while maintaining the highest quality standards for food & beverage products and services in all outlets.
- Assist the Food & Beverage Operations Director in organizing, planning, directing and managing the cost-effective operation of the Food & Beverage Department of the hotel including purchasing, receiving, storing, issuing, stewarding, preparation, production and serving of all food & beverage products in the hotel outlets to ensure the guest experience in the finest.
- Overall responsibility for handling complaints and full satisfaction
- Participate in the recruiting process.
- Presence in outlets during operations
Requirements
- Degree in Hospitality or similar
- Previous relevant experience in luxury hospitality
- Excellent knowledge of the English language
