Among the various industries we recruit for, we are exclusively retained to find a dynamic and experienced Field Service Technician, on behalf of a client based in Thessaloniki.
About the Role
As a Field Service Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the optimal performance of packaging and processing machinery installed at client facilities. You will be responsible for on-site technical service, troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and emergency repairs. You will work closely with customers, engineers, and the internal support team to deliver high-quality service.
Responsibilities
- Install, inspect, maintain, and repair food packaging and processing equipment
- Perform troubleshooting and diagnostics on mechanical systems
- Provide technical support and training to end users
- Keep accurate records of service visits, maintenance work, and parts usage
- Collaborate with the sales and engineering team to ensure customer satisfaction
- Maintain regular communication with the service department for scheduling and updates
- Ensure all work complies with industry safety standards and regulations
- Travel to customer sites across Northern Greece
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field
- Hands-on experience in maintaining and repairing industrial machinery (preferably in food or beverage processing)
- Familiarity with PLC programming is a plus
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a field team
- Good command of English, especially for technical documentation and communication
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel frequently
