Dreavia, a Swiss multinational healthcare company, active in the field of Specialty Healthcare (R&D, production, international promotion and distribution of medical devices, infant & functional nutrition and consumer healthcare products), is seeking to employ:

for it’s Greek subsidiary based in Chalandri, Athens, Greece.

(representing a major Multinational Corporation)

Role reports to: Country CEO and Dotted Line to Country BoD

Location: Field & Office

Purpose

The Business Unit Manager’s/Sales Manager’s role is to be responsible for increased sales and margins by attracting new customers and expanding the Organization’s (Medline’s) product and service offering to existing customers. Additionally, the role is expected to have the ability to manage a diverse support team. The specific B.U. works mainly with Surgical Products used mainly in Hospitals and Clinics of the Public and Private sector.

Activities and responsibilities

  • Designs and executes a Business Plan to build new and grow existing business
  • Creates and maximises customer value and loyalty, resulting in long-term relationships
  • Collectively works with internal team members like Clinical Sales, Product Managers and Customer Service Agents to drive sales success and customer satisfaction
  • Manages a growing Sales Team as well as potential regional Sales Agents (external to the organisation)
  • Manages tenders and price quotations in collaboration with the Customer Service & Tender Management team as well as the product divisions
  • Is the main contact Person with the Key Principals and Suppliers
  • Gains customer insights and identifies the right customer stakeholders to help drive the purchasing process
  • Launches new products and solutions to customers
  • Takes active involvement in the complaint process for the BU’s customers
  • Provides sales forecasts and updates them regularly
  • Maintains and uses CRM data to improve (his/her and the BU’s) performance
  • Collects customer feedback and market insights, and makes suggestions for improvements on products and services to the product divisions
  • Organises symposia, conferences and regional exhibitions to promote products (both online and offline)

Job requirements

  • Successfully completed higher education, Maters Degree is considered advantageous
  • Relevant work experience in business and/or healthcare
  • Healthcare industry experience and knowledge of hospital decision-making processes are advantageous
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in sales
  • Able to quickly build relationships with key people internally and externally
  • Strong drive for results
  • Well-organised and structured
  • Ability to achieve results in a fast-paced, changing, highly demanding environment
  • Solid analytical skills
  • Strong communication and influencing skills
  • Must be fluent in English and Greek
