We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven EFT/POS Business development manager to join our payments product unit. This role is crucial for owning and driving sales of Products and Services related to Merchant Acquiring for Acquirers (Banks), Payment Service Providers (PSPs), and other payment-enabled organizations, primarily in Greece and the wider international markets where Mellon Group operates.

This position covers every aspect of business development, including boosting profitability and market presence of current offerings as well as leading efforts to create and sell new, innovative products and services for Mellon Technologies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Generate qualified leads and consistently achieve or exceed sales and margin targets
  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to meet company objectives
  • Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with clients by truly understanding their strategic and operational needs.
  • Conduct frequent on-site meetings with clients and prospects, involving necessary travel within Greece and abroad.
  • Represent Mellon Technologies and showcase expertise in EFT/POS and Acquiring solutions
  • Prepare, negotiate, and deliver competitive proposals, RFP/RFI responses, contracts and P&L analyses
  • Work with internal teams to design tailored solutions for complex client needs and deliver projects on time and within budget
  • Present to and influence senior decision-makers to strengthen company’s partnerships
  • Identify and recommend new business opportunities and innovative solutions
  • Analyze market trends, competitors, and product performance
  • Collaborate on the development and implementation of new products and services
  • Maintain accurate sales forecasts and CRM records
  • Conduct training to enhance internal understanding of EFT/POS solutions


Requirements

To excel in this role, the ideal candidate will possess a blend of sales acumen, technical knowledge in payments, and international business experience.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, or a related field preferred.
  • Fluent in Greek and English (spoken and written).
  • Minimum 5 years in Business Development, Sales, or Key Account Management in FinTech, Banking, or Payments, focusing on EFT/POS, Merchant Acquiring, or PSPs.
  • Proven record of meeting or exceeding B2B sales revenue and margin targets.
  • Strong negotiation abilities for complex, multi-year deals with senior executives.
  • Solid technical understanding of Merchant Acquiring, electronic payments ecosystem, and emerging payment technologies.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills, with proven ability to engage clients effectively.
  • Willingness to travel internationally to support sales activities.
