What are your daily tasks
The Commercial Sales & Marketing Manager will be responsible for the creation and execution of local and national marketing campaigns, continuous market surveillance, contribution to relevant assortment planning and the implementation of communication and PR activities, ensuring full legal compliance. More specifically:
- Creates and executes local marketing campaigns and activities
- Prepares local campaign materials where applicable
- Manages all marketing activities related to local store initiatives (PR, influencers, etc.)
- Negotiates optimal conditions with local media partners and event providers
- Provides recommendations and requests for marketing activities, marketing mix changes, and PR initiatives based on ongoing market surveillance
- Performs periodic and ad hoc price updates of key competitors across all relevant articles
- Is co-responsible for preparing the annual Activity Calendar in cooperation with other departments
- Ensures optimal distribution of campaign materials, including channel selection, distribution areas and timing
- Secures detailed and well-structured knowledge of local campaign and pricing legislation
- Serves as the local contact point for authorities and external legal advisors
- Acts as a trusted partner to the Country Director and supports country-level decisions through communication, reputation and commercial input
- Acts as a sparring partner to (Regional) Commercial Sales Managers, Category Managers, and Purchasing Directors
The role is highly focused on Communication and PR Activities, so the Commercial Sales & Marketing Manager:
- Acts as the main contact person for external media and ensures the newsroom is kept up to date
- Coordinates and translates communication content from Communications at JYSK Head Office
- Is responsible for media monitoring, reputation management and the coordination of sensitive or critical communication topics, in alignment with Communications at JYSK Head Office
- Promotes an effective internal communication culture using different tools
- Ensures correct use of the local language and alignment with cultural aspects
- Plans and executes PR activities, including the organization of national PR events
- Works with HR to promote JYSK as an attractive employer and to support communication around people initiatives, culture and employee-related activities
- Provides direction, guidance and feedback on digital and social media activities, ensuring alignment across channels
What we expect from you
- You have relevant experience in a Sales and/or Marketing position, ideally in a similar role
- You have proven experience in communication-related roles with responsibility for organizing PR events
- You are self-motivated with the ability to work independently
- You show a proactive attitude and willingness to take initiatives
- You are able to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
- You have strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines in a structured manner
Other requirements:
- Advanced level of English (written and spoken)
- Valid driving license
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office. Familiarity with SAP is an advantage
