Alumina Sales Manager

Job Description:
We are looking for an Alumina Sales Manager to join our Commercial team.
In this role, you will be responsible for managing and growing the company's alumina sales portfolio, developing commercial strategies, negotiating sales agreements, and building strong long-term customer relationships.
Your role will encompass:
Sales Strategy & Planning
- Identify and propose the optimal allocation of alumina sales across end products to maximize profitability
- Contribute to the development of the long-term sales strategy through market, pricing, and competition analysis
- Prepare, monitor, and manage the annual sales budget per product and customer
Sales Agreements & Commercial Execution
- Prepare commercial proposals, pricing scenarios, and profitability analyses
- Negotiate annual and spot sales agreements in line with commercial policies
- Coordinate contract preparation with Legal, Production, Logistics, and Finance teams until final signing
- Ensure timely execution of shipments and monitor contract performance, payments, and dispute resolution
Customer Relationship Management
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with key customers and traders
- Act as the primary point of contact for customer communication, negotiations, and contract discussions
- Conduct regular international customer visits to understand needs and secure business commitments
- Coordinate and support customer audits in collaboration with internal stakeholders
Reporting & Market Intelligence
- Prepare and present monthly commercial performance and KPI reports to senior management
- Monitor competitor activity, pricing movements, and market trends
- Identify and approach potential new alumina customers
- Participate in international conferences and prepare post-event market analysis reports
Documentation, Compliance & Sustainability
- Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations
- Support internal requests related to sustainability, internal controls, and accounting matters
People & Team Management
- Supervise, coach, and monitor the performance of the alumina back-office team
- Act as partial substitute for the Sales Director when required
What you bring to the role:
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or relevant field
- 5+ years of experience in a similar role within the alumina, metals, commodities, or industrial sector
- Strong commercial and negotiation skills
- Ability to analyze market and pricing data
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Willingness to travel internationally
