Role Overview
As the Sales Director at Empiria Group, you will lead the overall sales strategy and operations across Empiria Group’s portfolio of properties, with the objective of maximizing revenue and market share across all business verticals, including rooms, events and leisure facilities. This role requires a strategic leader with deep expertise in luxury hospitality sales, a strong network within the travel trade and corporate markets, and the ability to inspire and guide a high-performing sales team to achieve ambitious goals within a dynamic hospitality organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide strategic leadership and oversight of sales operations across all properties within the group, ensuring the achievement of annual revenue goals and market share objectives.
- Strategically position new hotel projects as premier destinations within targeted markets, with key focus in the US.
- Collaborate closely with the Revenue and Marketing Management teams to optimize pricing, distribution, and promotional strategies.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and develop a high-performing sales team, driving the achievement of the hotel’s key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Provide leadership, coaching, and mentorship to the sales team to foster continuous development and performance excellence.
- Successfully manage relationships with Sales Representatives in key markets.
- Drive B2B and B2C business development, identifying new market opportunities and partnerships across all segments, including leisure, OTA channels, events and MICE.
- Establish, monitor, and manage the annual sales budget, ensuring resource optimization and cost efficiency.
- Understand and evaluate Bi reporting in order to analyze customer production, evaluate sales staff performance, and develop action plans to achieve targets in target markets.
- Establishes and maintains strong collaborative relationships with all Division Heads and actively contributes as a key member of the senior management team.
- Represent the Group at key trade shows, client events, and international sales road trips, strengthening relationships with key partners, travel agencies, and tour operators.
- Uphold and promote the unique Empiria Group brand identity and culture, ensuring all communications and initiatives reflect the company’s values and service philosophy.

- Comprehensive understanding of global travel markets with key focus in luxury leisure segments.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the ability to influence and engage partners at all levels.
- Highly organized, analytical, and results-driven, with a solid foundation in business acumen and strategic decision-making.
- Proven experience in managing and nurturing relationships with hotel owners.
- Willingness and ability to travel nationally and internationally as required.
Requirements:
- Minimum 8 years of progressive experience in hospitality sales, including at least 3 years in a senior leadership or cluster role.
- Prior experience with luxury hotel brands or multi-property groups, preferably in Greece or the Mediterranean region.
- Demonstrated success in launching or repositioning high-end hotels or resorts.
- Deep understanding of distribution systems, Bi’s, CRM tools, and sales analytics platforms.
- Proficiency in revenue management principles, pricing strategy, and forecasting techniques.
- Strong grasp of digital and direct sales channels, brand.com, consortia, and OTA’s.
- Good knowledge of MICE markets and the ability to secure small, high-end group business.
- Proven ability to analyze market trends and competitor activity to identify growth opportunities.
- Comprehensive knowledge of luxury travel consortia and preferred partnership programs.
- Knowledge of Marriott systems and other proprietary platforms will be considered a strong asset.
