On behalf of our client, a leading company in PET packaging, producing preforms and bottles for various applications, we are seeking to recruit an Account Manager (Middle East).
The Account Manager will be responsible for managing and expanding sales across the Middle East region (Saudi Arabia, UAE, Qatar, Oman, Bahrain, Kuwait, Iraq, Iran, Yemen). This role includes building long-term strategic partnerships, providing technical-commercial support, identifying new business opportunities, and ensuring customer satisfaction throughout the entire sales cycle.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement sales strategies per account and segment, aligned with volume, margin, and profitability targets.
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships through regular visits and proactive account management.
- Collaborate with internal teams (R&D, Technical, Production) to translate customer needs into tailored solutions.
- Provide technical-commercial support regarding product performance, new packaging introductions, problem-solving, validation, and testing.
- Identify new business opportunities and packaging trends in the region, leveraging market research and personal networks.
- Work closely with the Application Manager to ensure optimal customer support and product adaptation.
- Contribute to budget planning, forecasts, and demand projections, in cooperation with supply chain and back office.
- Represent the company at trade fairs and exhibitions in the Middle East.
- Position the company as a long-term, strategic, and technically reliable partner to key customers.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a technical or scientific field (e.g., Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering).
- 5–7 years of B2B sales experience, ideally in technical and international environments.
- Understanding of PET packaging, plastics, or related industrial products is considered an advantage.
- Fluency in Arabic and English; knowledge of a third language (e.g., French) is a plus.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- Proven ability to combine commercial acumen with technical insight.
- Self-driven, proactive, and effective under pressure, with a “hunter” mindset for new business.
