Skyserv Ground Handling Services is looking for an experienced and dedicated Ground Operations Officer to ensure the smooth, safe, and efficient handling of aircraft, passengers, and cargo at our airport stations.
The Ground Operations Officer plays a key role in coordinating daily ground handling activities, ensuring compliance with safety and security regulations, and maintaining high service standards for airline partners.
We are seeking someone proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of working in a fast-paced environment, with strong communication and problem-solving skills.
Duties and responsibilities:
· Supervise and coordinate ground handling activities, including aircraft turnaround, baggage handling, and passenger services in all Skyserv network
· Ensure that all operations are performed in accordance with airline procedures, airport regulations, and safety standards.
· Communicate effectively with airline representatives, ramp agents, and other airport stakeholders.
· Monitor on-time performance and support efficient aircraft turnaround times.
· Prepare and verify required documentation, including load sheets, movement messages, and reports.
· Identify operational issues and implement corrective actions as needed.
· Liaise with internal departments to ensure resources and staffing are aligned with flight schedules.
· Respond to irregular operations and provide solutions in real time.
· Conduct safety and compliance checks during ground operations.
· Promote a culture of safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
Requirements and skills:
· 3+ years of experience in aviation.
· Strong knowledge of ramp, baggage, and passenger handling procedures.
· Familiarity with IATA and airport safety standards.
· Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks in a time-sensitive environment.
· Well-versed in creating emergency response plans tailored to various scenarios.
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and mitigate potential risks.
· Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
· Ability to multitask, prioritize daily workload and meet strict deadlines.
· Team-oriented mindset with a high level of responsibility and integrity.
· Managerial skills.
· Fluency in Greek and English.
