Costa Navarino is look for a Social Events Sales Manager. The selected candidate will drive revenue and elevate the hotel's reputation in the social events segment by leading the sales, planning, and execution of weddings, private celebrations, and leisure group events. This role is responsible for achieving sales targets and strengthening the hotel’s position as a premium venue for memorable social occasions.
Responsibilities
- Develop the annual plan for the social events segment, including sales strategies, revenue targets, and detailed action plans.
- Monitor and analyze segment performance, adjusting strategies as needed to achieve budget goals and maximize profitability.
- Implementation of the action plan
- Organize and participate in sales initiatives such as entertainment of wedding planners, FAM trips, site inspections, bridal shows, and trade fairs.
- Act as the key point of contact on site for trade partners.
- In coordination with marketing team ensure that online wedding materials and platforms are updated. Maximize the return of investment in digital platforms.
- Stay informed on trends and market developments and accordingly adjust the action plan
- Respond to incoming social event inquiries by preparing tailored proposals, creating blocks in Opera, and following up on progress of the leads.
- Negotiate the pricing, venues and terms and conditions of the contract.
- Prepare the contracts and ensure accuracy of the blocks in the system.
- Handover confirmed events, including all relevant details, to the Groups Manager – Onsite for the execution.
Requirements
- A minimum of two years in a hotel sales role within a luxury hotel brand. Experience in the predefined markets is necessary.
- Bachelor’s Degree (BA/BSc) / Graduate Degree (MA/MSc) Business, Psychology, Tourism / Other -Law, Communication
- Excellent verbal and written communication in English (Greek a plus)
- Experience in event execution and social event sales
- Excellent computer skills, Microsoft Office, Outlook and Opera PMS
- Strong multitasking, time-management skills and ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
- Ability to handle difficult and stressful situations.
- Able to work under pressure and without supervision, from remote locations, in different time zones.
- Ability to travel.
- Strong relationship-building skills with clients, peer groups, internal employees, and other stakeholders.
- Ability to maintain/adhere to company Brand Standards, Policies & SOPs.
