SCIENTIFIC AND REGULATORY AFFAIRS SPECIALIST – LAUNDRY & BEAUTY PRODUCTS
The Scientific & Regulatory Affairs Specialist for Greece & Cyprus will be part of the Western Europe South R&D and Regulatory Affairs Team and will be involved not only in the regulatory activities, but also in the formula and packaging local implementation processes. This will allow to maintain a technical approach and have direct contact with the product, thus developing cross-functional skills between Regulatory Affairs and R&D.
He/She undertakes regulatory activities necessary to contribute, at local level, to the success of the Henkel Consumer Brands. With modest supervision the Scientific & Regulatory Affairs Specialist provides regulatory support to the successful commercialization of Laundry, Home Care and Cosmetics in Greece and Cyprus.
Accountability
- Manage all regulatory topics regarding products at EU and local level
- Deepen and follow the evolution of regulatory issues
- Provide technical and regulatory support to local business (marketing, sales, legal)
- Prepare the documentation necessary to ensure that system and regulatory process are compliant with national and European regulatory standards
- Check and release SDS and review and approve artworks to meet regulatory requirements.
- Notify product on the Greek Poison Center Portal
- Cooperate closely with our central department based in Germany to help ensure EU and national regulatory requirements are met
- Keep the Western Europe South R&D and Regulatory Affairs Team up to date on national regulatory trends, risks, and opportunities.
- Review product changes to determine impact to existing labeling
- Evaluate the correct wording, claims and icons to be printed on labels and packaging
- Provide support in case of Authorities’ inspections/discussion
- Reference person for the National Associations
Required Skills and Experience
- Bachelor's degree, preferably in chemistry, engineering, or material science disciplines
- 3-5 years related experience
- Regulatory Affairs experience in FMCG preferred.
- Sound knowledge of Regulations for Consumer Products with emphasis for Cosmetic products required.
- Structured working approach appreciated
- Communication skills, especially detail-oriented and technical material.
- Ability to meet deadlines while being flexible to changes in priorities and interruptions.
- Excellent organizational and analytical skills to complete assignments accurately.
- Fluency in Greek and English is mandatory
