Food Technician / QA Specialist / QA Coordinator
Location: Remote
Hours: Monday–Friday 8:30 – 17:30 (London time)
Type: Full-time, Temporary for 3-4 months project leading to 2-3 days/week permanent role thereafter.
Salary: Competitive depending on experience (€1,800 - €2,000 gross/month)
Project focus: Gaining the BRC audit accreditation, process already started.
Permanent role: Supporting all aspects of documentation and accreditation including:
- Updating and maintaining documentation:
- for Organic Food Federations (OFF) standards
- for British Retail Consortium (BRC) standards
- Product information and tech sheets for new products
- Manager ad hoc new product and customer enquires
- Supporting sales team activities
- Develop and maintain relationships with producers to ensure and support their audit and documentation requirements

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Food technician / QA Specialist / QA Coordinator with 5 years relevant experience to support our Quality Assurance Systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement, maintain, and improve Quality Management and Food Safety system.
- Support third-party and regulatory audits, in case needed, conduct supplier audits.
- Ensure compliance with EU and UK food safety legislation and customer requirements.
- Review and approve specifications, and supplier documentation.
- Investigate quality incidents, non-conformances, and customer complaints.
- Train and support operational teams on food safety, hygiene, and quality procedures.
- Maintain accurate QA records, reports, and audit documentation.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Food Technology, or a related field.
- 3–5 years of professional experience in Quality Assurance within the food industry.
- Experience with internal and external audits (BRC, IFS, FSSC).
- Good understanding of EU and UK food regulations and standards.
- Proficiency in English (written and spoken)
- Willingness to travel between Athens and London when required.

- Confident in dealing with auditors.
Preferred Qualifications
- Lead Auditor/Internal auditor certification.
- Experience with chilled and cold-chain logistics and dairy products
- Knowledge of export/import quality requirements.
