Quality Assurance Engineer

About the role

The Quality Assurance Engineer owns internal software quality controls to ensure established quality procedures and norms in our Software Development Lifecycle are followed. Conducts non-routine quality analysis and inspections of a quality control program, resolving questions or problems and recommends necessary quality procedure changes. In this role the QA Engineer understands software product components and high-level architectures to build a fully automated test strategy, select test tools if required and creates test plans. 

Your responsibilities

• Responsible for automated end-to-end product-interface (API), product-workflow, Black-Box- and System-testing, applying static and dynamic test methods
• Develop and maintain a fully automated test toolchain and automated test cases with a variety of test tools including for expample Selenium, TestProject, Postman, Soap UI and Microsoft Azure DevOps
• Analyze product requirements, queries module or system dependencies impacting a test plan and determine and verify effort estimations
• Support product roll outs, customer trainings and 2nd level support cases
• Ensure keeping of Quality Assurance standards and drive the furhter extension and coverage of automated regression tests
• Assist the Project Management regarding analysis of quality risks and required test concepts and test coverage as well as the scope of regression tests

What we are looking for - Skills and Specifications

• Well-founded Software-Engineering or Business Administration education (with Bachelor or Master degree) or equal qualification
• Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in either a software product, software system testing or Business process consulting role
• Experience or background in accounting, financial administration using ERP systems (NAV, BC, AX, or similar) and business digitalization
• Microsoft Client/Server cloud- or web-platform understanding
• Functional experience with a business product platform (e.g. MS Dynamics) compined with experience in Automotive Industry and solid understanding of Software Development and Software Design is beneficial
• Knowledge of Selenium, Postman or alternative test management platforms and ISTQB Certifications are an advantage
• Strong analytical skills as well as attention to details and experience in translating customer and business needs into product features and solutions
• Previous experience in product management for business-to-business software or as a product owner for SCRUM teams or equivalent experience is beneficial
• Good organizatinal skills with the ability to balance multiple demands
• Flexible person who is a team player, but also capable to work independently
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English 
• Excellent communication and willigness to share knowledge with others
