Job Description
We are looking for a junior level Lab Analyst, to carry out the chemical analyzes of the laboratory, and the First Fill analysis for product changeovers to ensure the cross-contamination prevention, according with the Syngenta standards. The Lab Analyst responsibilities include the implementation and monitoring of the appropriate HSEQ KPI’s as well as the support on the certification of ISO 9001, 14001, 45001 and 50001 Management systems
An outstanding Lab Analyst should have the ability to plan tasks and achieve goals as well as dedication and attention to detail.
Accountabilities
- Carry out the chemical analyzes of the laboratory using liquid and gas chromatography as well as in the control of the physical parameters of the products to ensure the correct quality. The chemical analyzes must be carried out in accordance with the standard and approved analytical methods of the company and will be checked according to their approved specifications.
- Carry out the First Fill analysis for product changeovers to ensure the cross-contamination prevention, according with the Syngenta standards.
- Carry out Environmental parameters analysis like COD, SS and monitor the performance of Effluent Treatment Plant.
- When required to validate analytical methods according to Syngenta standards and procedures.
- Support on the certification of ISO 9001, 14001, 45001 and 50001 Management systems.
- Resolve the quality issues when required. To have good communication and cooperation with the colleagues.
- Check and ensure that all Cross Contamination procedures are followed properly.
- To use and monitor the appropriate HSEQ KPI’s.
- To monitor the implementation of Health, Safety, Environment rules and to contribute to their implementation. Report Safety observations and Near Misses.
- To carry out measurements of Occupational Health and Safety work parameters and participate in internal HSEQ inspections.
- Always operate in accordance with Site procedures.
- Collaborates excellently and in a professional manner with each colleague as well as with the other departments of the Site.
- Actively participate with improvement proposals and ideas.
- Actively participate in HSEQ department meetings.
Qualifications
- Graduate Chemical Engineer
- Experience of 0-2 years
- Fluency in Greek and English language
- Good PC skills (e.g. Windows, Microsoft Office)
- Ability to plan tasks and achieve goals
- Strong communication skills
