Responsibilities

• Ensures the operation of all waste management and treatment equipment at the Plant (water treatment systems, industrial waste, sewage treatment, air emissions monitoring, etc.)
• Supervises and coordinates the Plant's pollution control team and equipment/materials
• Ensures continuous compliance of the Plant's Units with established environmental obligations and oversees the Plant's Environmental Management System
• Conducts macroscopic and laboratory physicochemical quality control analyses (lubricants, fuels, cooling water)
• Prepares guidelines regarding the use of chemical materials, as well as technical specifications for the procurement of fuels, lubricants, chemicals and other materials

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree from a University or Diploma in Chemical Engineering
• Experience as a Chemical Engineer, involving the operation of facilities for water and waste treatment, control of gaseous emissions or in a consulting role for conducting environmental impact studies or designing pollution‑control systems will be considered an additional qualification
• Experience as a Chemical Engineer in a Power Production Plant will be considered an additional qualification
• License to practice the profession of Chemical Engineer
• Good knowledge of the English language
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and Internet
• Availability in case of emergency (upon phone contact)
• Locality of the candidates will be considered an additional qualification
