The company offers the opportunity to those who wish to express interest in the position of “Senior Metallurgist | Ανώτερος/η Μεταλλουργός, for its premises in Chalkidiki. The position will be reported to the Metallurgical Engineer of the Processing department in Skouries.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and analyze metallurgical performance to achieve production and recovery targets at the Skouries Processing Plant.
  • Plan, conduct, and supervise metallurgical test work and laboratory experiments to support process optimization and troubleshooting.
  • Collect, validate, and interpret process data to identify trends, deviations, and improvement opportunities.
  • Collaborate closely with operations, maintenance, and laboratory teams to maintain stable and efficient plant performance.
  • Participate in commissioning, process adjustments, and plant trials to assess new reagents, equipment, and operating parameters.
  • Prepare technical reports, mass balances, and metallurgical accounting documentation.
  • Support the development and training of metallurgical and plant personnel in process control and best practices.
  • Promote and ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards and procedures.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Metallurgical, Mineral Processing, or Chemical Engineering, or relevant field is required. (Master’s degree will be considered an advantage).
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in metallurgical or mineral processing operations, preferably within a concentrator or flotation plant.
  • Proven expertise in metallurgical test work, process optimization, data analysis, and troubleshooting of processing circuits.
  • Experience in commissioning, ramp-up, or continuous improvement projects, with strong collaboration across multidisciplinary teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze complex process data and implement practical, results-oriented solutions.
  • Strong technical, analytical, and laboratory skills, complemented by effective communication, organization, and leadership abilities.
  • Proactive, safety-focused professional with adaptability and commitment to operational excellence and team development.

  • Proficiency in engineering/simulation software (e.g., AutoCAD Civil 3D or similar design and modelling tools) is considered an asset.
  • Advanced computer literacy, including data analysis and the use of office and reporting tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI or equivalent).
  • Excellent command of English, both written and verbal.
  • Driving License (B Category).
