ICAP Executive Search & Selection on behalf of its client, an established Greek manufacturing company operating in the food industry, is looking for a Plant Manager to strengthen and further organize its production operations.
Plant Manager / Attica (6031/PMA/ESS/GR)
Role overview
The position initially focuses on Production Management, with key objectives to:
- optimize manufacturing processes,
- enhance efficiency and productivity, and
- establish standards of quality and operational excellence.
In the next phase, the successful candidate will gradually assume overall responsibility for the plant’s management and organization, overseeing all remaining key functions (Production, Warehousing, Logistics etc). This role reports to the company’s CEO/Owner.
Key Responsibilities
- Organize, coordinate, and oversee the plant’s daily operations and ensure production goals are met efficiently and on time.
- Lead the reorganization and optimization of production processes, introducing best practices for efficiency and quality.
- Define, track, and analyze KPIs to monitor performance, identify bottlenecks, and drive continuous improvement.
- Implement and maintain control procedures to ensure all products meet company standards.
- Increase production, assets capacity and flexibility while minimizing unnecessary costs and maintaining current quality standards.
- Lead, motivate, and develop production and cross-functional teams – Quality, Maintenance, Logistics.
- Ensure compliance with food safety, quality, and hygiene standards.
- Collaborate with CEO/Owner on strategic planning, plant development and other initiatives.
Requirements
- University degree in Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Food Technology, or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a managerial role within the food industry or a related manufacturing sector with proven experience in plant reorganization, process improvement, or operational development.
- Strong organizational and leadership skills.
- Excellent people management and communication abilities.
- Good command of English and familiarity with ERP/production systems.
