Responsibilities

• Prepares, coordinates and promotes Environmental Studies and data required for the environmental licensing of new energy projects and Production activities until the issuance of the required permits/approvals
• Participates in consultations/opinions on environmental production management
• Assists in drafting and execution of contracts with third parties, in matters related to the Sector’s scope
• Collaborates with the Energy Licensing Sector of the Department of Production Licensing for the preparation and submission of files for the issuance of production, installation, and operation permits for new projects
• Collaborates with the Department of Environment and the relevant Core Organizational Units for environmental management, the formulation of the Company’s positions on environmental management issues of Production facilities and new activities, in pending Greek, Community, or International Directives, Regulations, and general provisions, as well as for determining investments related to environmental protection
• Monitors Greek and Community Legislation on environmental and industrial safety issues
• Updates the archive of environmental permits and copies of validated environmental studies and data related to the Company’s Production activities

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree from a University or College or Diploma in Chemical Engineering or Environmental Engineering or Environmental Sciences
• Master's degree in environmental impacts of industrial installations, physical/chemical processes, or management of industrial/hazardous waste will be considered an additional qualification
• At least five (5) years of relevant experience in environmental licensing of industrial and/or energy activities
• Experience in preparing A1 category Environmental Impact Assessments will be considered an additional qualification
• Experience in preparing Safety Studies or Seveso Directive Notification Files will be considered an additional qualification
• Experience in an engineering company, consulting company or the energy sector will be considered an additional qualification
• Certification as a Lead Auditor in Environmental Management Systems (EMS) or Health and Safety or Energy Management Systems (EnMS) (e.g. ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO 50001) will be considered an additional qualification
• Knowledge of IMMI and/or AERMOD will be considered an additional qualification
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and Internet
• Availability in case of emergency (upon phone contact)
• Availability for urgent geographical relocations
