Responsibilities

• Prepares all types of Geotechnical Studies – Checks and prepares Geotechnical Investigation Report (GIR) up to the production and review of Geotechnical Baseline Reports (GBR)
• Studies the stability of slopes and designs temporary and permanent protection measures
• Studies designs of temporary and permanent support measures for underground works
• Studies tunnels (excavation methods, temporary protection measures, design of permanent protection measures)
• Demonstrates the ability to collaborate and coordinate with internal and external partners, public bodies and services

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree from a University or College in Civil Engineering / Geotechnical specialization or equivalent
• Master of Egineering related to the broader field of Geotechnical Engineering will be considered an additional qualification
• Doctor of Engineering related to the broader field of Geotechnical and Structural Sciences will be considered an additional qualification
• At least five (5) years of relevant experiencein Geotechnical Slope Stability Studies, Debris Flow Retention Works, Infrastructure Protection from Geological Instabilities, preparation of Geotechnical Baseline Reports (GBR) and Geotechnical Investigation Reports (GIR), temporary and permanent Retaining Measures for Tunnels and other Underground Works, and Special Foundations (Piles, Pile Groups, Raft Foundations, etc.)
• Experience in Studies and Design of All Types of Structures, Anti-seismic Design of Constructions, Analysis and Design of Steel Structures will be considered an additional qualification
• Member of the Technical Chamber of Greece (TEE) or an equivalent professional body
• Knowledge of GEOSTRU and/or ROCKFALL and/or ADONIS and/or AEC SLOPE and/or PLAXIS 2D and/or PLAXIS 3D and/or ROCKPLANE etc., will be considered an additional qualification
• Good knowledge of the English language 
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and Internet 
• Availability in case of emergency (upon phone contact)
• Availability for urgent geographical relocations
