Job Purpose: The Buyer is responsible for sourcing and procuring goods & services (especially packaging materials) that meet the company’s quality, cost, and delivery requirements to support efficient business operations.
Responsibilities/Results
The job holder:
- Runs the monthly MRP for purchased items under their scope
- Follows up & monitors purchase orders for references under their responsibility, and adjust delivery dates according to MRP exceptions
- Monitors various reports/KPIs on purchase performance and supplier service level
- Ensures the best terms of pricing and quality for the company
- Identifies market trend for crucial materials
- Communicates effectively with various departments within the company
- Validates reference’s category and procurement type upon reference creation
Requirements
- BSc degree in Business Administration or Economics; MSc degree in Supply Chain will be an asset
- Minimum 3 years of previous experience in a similar position in a FMCG company
- Experience in MRP SAP
- Proficient level of English; a second language will be considered an asset
- Strong interpersonal & negotiation skills
