Brand Manager / Product Manager – Construction Materials (Wholesale)

Company Overview

Leading wholesale distributor of construction materials, supplying professional contractors, developers, and retail partners across Greece is looking for a Brand Manager / Product Manager to take ownership of selected product categories and brands, driving their commercial success, market positioning, and long-term growth.

 

Role Overview

The Brand Manager / Product Manager will be responsible for the strategic and operational management of product lines and brands within the construction materials portfolio. This role bridges marketing, sales, logistics, and suppliers, ensuring products are competitive, profitable, and well-positioned in the B2B and professional market.

 

Key Responsibilities

Product & Brand Strategy

  • Develop and execute product and brand strategies aligned with company objectives and market needs
  • Manage the product lifecycle from introduction and growth to optimization or phase-out
  • Identify opportunities for portfolio expansion, private labels, or new supplier partnerships

Market & Competitive Analysis

  • Conduct ongoing market research to monitor trends, customer needs, pricing, and competitor activity
  • Analyze sales performance, margins, and market share by product category

Commercial & Sales Support

  • Work closely with the sales team to develop go-to-market plans, sales tools, and training materials
  • Support key customer presentations, tenders, and negotiations with product expertise
  • Collaborate on promotional campaigns, trade marketing initiatives, and seasonal offers

Supplier & Stakeholder Management

  • Act as the main point of contact for assigned manufacturers and suppliers
  • Coordinate product launches, technical documentation, certifications, and compliance requirements
  • Negotiate product-related terms in collaboration with logistics and management

Marketing & Communication

  • Ensure consistent brand messaging across catalogs, digital platforms, and point-of-sale materials
  • Oversee creation of product content: datasheets, brochures, technical guides, and online descriptions
  • Coordinate with external agencies, designers, and marketing partners as needed

Performance & Reporting

  • Track KPIs such as sales growth, profitability, stock rotation, and campaign effectiveness
  • Prepare regular reports and presentations for sales teams, suppliers and management
  • Proactively propose corrective actions to improve underperforming products or brands

 

Required Qualifications & Experience

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Engineering, Economics, or a related field
  • Master’s degree (MBA or Marketing) is a plus

Experience

  • 3–7 years of experience as a Brand Manager, Product Manager, or Category Manager ideally in B2B wholesale ideally in construction materials, building products or industrial goods
  • Experience working with technical products and professional customers (contractors, engineers, distributors) is a plus

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong analytical and commercial mindset
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities
  • Negotiation and supplier management capabilities
  • Comfortable working cross-functionally with sales, logistics, and finance
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and ERP/CRM systems
