Role Overview

The Storage Manager is responsible for overseeing all storage areas within the hotel, ensuring efficient inventory management, organization, and distribution of goods. This role maintains accurate stock levels, safeguards hotel assets, and supports operational departments—including Housekeeping, Food & Beverage, Engineering, and Front Office—by ensuring they receive supplies in a timely and controlled manner. The Storage Manager upholds hotel standards for cleanliness, safety, and HACCP compliance within all storerooms.

The position reports to the Purchasing Manager of the Group, engages with managers, and collaborates closely with the colleagues within the Purchasing department to ensure efficient operations for all segments.

Key Accountabilities:

Inventory & Stock Management

·        Oversee order, reception, storage, and distribution of all hotel supplies, equipment, and materials.

·        Maintain accurate inventory records through regular stock counts and system updates.

·        Monitor stock levels to prevent overstock or shortages, coordinate with responsible teams for replenishment.

·        Implement inventory control procedures to minimize waste, loss, and discrepancies.

Storeroom Operations

·        Organize and maintain all storerooms to ensure accessibility, cleanliness, and safety.

·        Ensure proper labeling, categorization, and rotation of stock (FIFO / FEFO).

·        Enforce hotel standards for sanitation and equipment handling.

Coordination & Communication

·        Work closely with Finance, other destination Purchasing teams, F&B, and Housekeeping to forecast supply needs.

·        Communicate stock updates and any inventory issues to department heads.

·        Coordinate scheduled deliveries and ensure proper documentation and verification.

Compliance & Safety

·        Ensure all storage practices comply with hotel HACCP policies, local health regulations, and safety guidelines.

·        Maintain security of all storerooms, ensuring controlled access.

·        Report on potential risks or maintenance issues within storage areas.

Team Leadership

·        Supervise storeroom attendants and receiving staff.

·        Provide training on proper storage procedures and inventory systems.

·        Schedule and oversee daily workload to ensure efficient operations.



Requirements

·        Experience in inventory management, warehousing, or hotel/storeroom operations.

·        Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.

·        Familiarity with inventory software or hotel management systems.

·        Ability to lift and manage physical stock as required.

·        Attention to detail and high level of integrity.

·        Excellent written and verbal communication skills both in Greek and English language

·        Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work under pressure

·        Hands on and “can do” attitude

Candidate’s Profile:

Professional Background

·        3–5 years of experience in inventory management, warehousing, or hotel storeroom operations (F&B store, housekeeping store, receiving, etc.).

·        Previous experience within a hotel or hospitality environment is strongly preferred.

·        Familiarity with hotel purchasing and inventory systems (e.g., SOFTONE/ ENTERSOFT) is an advantage.

Core Competencies

·        Inventory Accuracy: Maintains precise stock records, conducts regular cycle counts, identifies discrepancies, and supports financial audits.

·        Operational Efficiency: Skilled in optimizing storage organization, stock rotation (FIFO), and workflow to support daily hotel operations.

·        Attention to Detail: Ensures correct labeling, handling, and storage of all items, especially F&B perishables and sensitive items.

·        Communication Skills: Coordinates effectively with Purchasing, Finance, F&B, and Housekeeping; communicates stock issues proactively.

·        Problem-Solving: Able to troubleshoot shortages, delivery issues, and stock variances quickly and effectively.
