Job Description:

We are currently looking for a Buyer to join our Back Office team in our offices in Athens or Thessaloniki.

As a Buyer, you will be responsible for the effective management of the supplier base and the end-to-end procurement process, ensuring competitive pricing, reliable supply, and full compliance with company standards and contractual requirements. You will negotiate commercial terms, monitor market trends, evaluate and improve supplier performance, and identify new sourcing opportunities to support current and future project needs.

Your role will encompass:

• Manage a large supplier base and negotiate improved commercial terms and pricing
• Conduct market research and monitor price trends and changes in supplier terms
• Evaluate and manage supplier performance (quality, delivery, reliability) and develop strong supply chain partnerships
• Identify and assess new sourcing options to support current and future purchasing needs
• Ensure completion of the internal supplier approval process and compliance with company standards and certifications
• Coordinate with the Project Team to confirm production schedules based on customer requirements and material availability
• Review and optimize internal procurement processes to ensure operational continuity and efficiency
• Support Project Managers in cost control and budget adherence
• Review and verify subcontractors' monthly progress claims
• Ensure compliance with contractual requirements and maintain effective relationships with suppliers, contractors, and stakeholders

What you bring to the role:

• Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Business Administration
• 1+ year of proven experience as a Buyer or in an accounting department
• Master degree from a recognised university will be considered as an asset
• Fluency in English is essential
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel)
• Strong experience with both English and Greek law contracts
• Ability to operating in a highly technical and complex field
• Excellent communication, negotiations, organisation and interpersonal skills
