MISSIONS/MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Procurement & Sourcing
  • Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers for marine equipment, yacht spare parts, technical services, and marina facility needs.
  • Source specialized maritime products such as engines, navigation equipment, safety gear, and marine hardware.
  • Maintain strong relationships with local and international vendors.
  1. 2. Contract Negotiation & Management
  • Negotiate pricing, delivery terms, and service agreements to ensure optimal value.
  • Prepare and manage procurement contracts, ensuring compliance with legal and quality standards.
  • Monitor supplier performance and address issues proactively.
  1. 3. Inventory & Supply Chain Management
  • Oversee inventory levels for marina operations and yacht maintenance needs.
  • Implement stock control procedures and forecast future procurement requirements.
  • Coordinate logistics, customs documentation, and shipping for international orders.
  1. 4. Budgeting & Cost Control
  • Develop procurement budgets and ensure purchasing remains within allocated limits.
  • Track spending, analyze cost trends, and provide financial reports to management.
  • Identify opportunities for cost reduction without compromising quality.
  1. 5. Operational Support
  • Work closely with marina operations teams to ensure timely delivery of supplies for projects, refits, and repairs.
  • Support yacht captains, crew, and maintenance technicians with urgent procurement needs.
  • Ensure all purchased materials meet maritime safety and regulatory standards
  1. 6. Compliance & Documentation
  • Maintain accurate purchasing records, vendor databases, and contract files.
  • Ensure compliance with ISO standards, maritime safety regulations, and internal procurement policies.
  • Evaluate risks and implement controls in the procurement process.

Skills Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, Maritime Studies, or related field.
  • 5+ years of procurement experience, preferably in the marine, hospitality, or luxury yacht industry.
  • Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
  • Knowledge of marine equipment, yacht systems, and marina operations is highly preferred.
  • Familiarity with customs regulations and international shipping procedures.
  • Proficiency in procurement software and ERP systems.
